Mr Stox's
On January 22, 2000 the Orange County Chapter held it's first inaugural dinner at Mr. Stox's Restaurant in Anaheim, California. Mr. Stox's is one of only 84 resaurants in the world which has been given the prestigious Wine Spectator Magazine's Grand Award that honors restaurants having an exceptional wine list. With that in mind, it seemed to be the perfect place to hold a dinner to introduce prospective, qualified individuals to California's newest Chapter of the Knights of the Vine.

The evening commenced early with a wine and hors d'oeuvres reception with Commander Tom McCrystal greeting everyone in his festive Knights of the Vine Cadre attire. And, for the benefit of those in attendance not familiar with the organization, prior to dinner, Commander McCrystal gave the early history of Knighthood and the inception of Master Cupbearers beginning in 1043 AD to our present day, including the founding of the Knights of the Vine. Afterwards, dinner was served complimented by three exceptional wines that accompanied each course.

As a result of this spectacular evening, the Chapter now has an additional six Knights and one Gentle Lady "in wainting" to become chapter members at the first Assemblage. It seems that the new Orange County Chapter is off to a good start!
